The Tiny Book Funnel

Every tiny book gets the same four pages, built by the same designer: a sales page, a checkout, a one-screen upsell and a confirmation. Cold to Sold in a Day is the first one. This page shows every screen, every moving part and every rule, so the next book looks exactly like it.

The five rules nobody breaks

  • No menu bar anywhere. A funnel offers one choice: yes or no. Four pages: sales, checkout, upsell, confirmation.
  • It looks like the Glitter Bomb Books and Jess Hughes Media pages, down to the hovers. Brand kit colours only, no gradients except gold foil.
  • The words talk to you.
  • Only photos from the Glitter Bomb Books and Jess Hughes Media pages. The share image is always the book mockup.
  • Check it on a phone first. Most buyers are on a phone.

Section 4

The building blocks

The parts every page is made of, with the exact numbers, so nothing gets guessed.

The hero

The hero

Built off the Glitter Bomb Books hero. The book title is the backdrop, never in front of Jess.

  • Title: min(18.2vw, 40vh), orange at 40% opacity, both lines one size
  • Eyebrow top centre: The Tiny Book with Big Magic by Jess Hughes
  • Right column sits low: fan, subtitle, read time, one button
  • Button hover: white turns hot pink, the arrow turns zest, the button lifts
  • Phone: eyebrow, title solid, fan, words, button, then Jess
The fan mockup

The fan mockup

The cover far left on top, then the title page, the contents, a doodle and a full text page tucked behind to the right.

  • Made by make_fan.py from the pocket book PDF
  • Used in the sales hero, the checkout and the Oh hey! section
  • Horizontal, never a tall single cover
The stacking cards

The stacking cards

From Ways to Work Together on the Jess Hughes Media page. The next card slides up and covers the last.

  • Each card sticks 32 to 64px lower than the one before
  • Odd cards white, number left. Even cards lilac, mirrored
  • Hover flips the colour: zest, orange, sky, pink, in .45s
  • Round photo bottom corner, arrow action opposite
The add-ons

The add-ons

The bumps on the checkout, with a little surprise on every tick.

  • Headline bold, pink, a touch bigger, with a hand-drawn icon
  • Ticking one throws glitter from that box
  • The total counts up and flashes zest
  • The Glitter Box (zest) unticks the others and pops You just saved $244
About Jess

About Jess

Word for word from the Glitter Bomb Books page, on every page of the funnel.

  • Heading: I'm Jess, Your Simplifier, Amplifier and Multiplier
  • The two photos part and tilt as you reach them (2.4s)
  • 58 categories, 300+ authors, 7x bestselling
As Seen On

As Seen On

The press bar, straight from Glitter Bomb Books.

  • Scrolls at 70s a loop, faded at both edges
  • Logos at .62 opacity
Questions

Questions

The FAQ always starts with the two tiny book questions.

  • What is a Tiny Book?
  • Why is a Tiny Book more valuable than a big book? (your time is your most valuable currency)
  • I LOVE this, I want more! (the Glitter Box on the next page)
  • No beginners question
The footer and the reveal

The footer and the reveal

The Glitter Bomb Books footer with no menu row. On the sales page and the confirmation it scrolls up and uncovers the lilac Oh hey! section. Never on the checkout.

  • Giant wordmark reads GLITTER BOMB, no dba line
  • Links underlined but go nowhere. Instagram stays live
  • Oh hey! offers the page's one choice, never a new offer
The share image

The share image

What people see when you send the link. Always the book mockup, never Jess's photo.

  • 1200 x 630, made by make_og.py
  • Title as a faint backdrop, the fan, the eyebrow line

The motion on every page (from the GBB and JHM pages)

ScrollSections rise 60px into place over 1.1s as they come into view.
HighlighterZest sweeps across key lines as they come into view, 1.4s.
ButtonsEvery button throws a glitter confetti burst. A link waits 650ms so you see it.
HoversColour fades over .45s. Orange buttons turn pink, white buttons turn zest, the arrow turns 45 degrees.
ConfirmationGlitter rains down twice when the page opens.
FooterOn the sales page and confirmation it scrolls up and away, uncovering the Oh hey! section pinned beneath it.

Section 5

The rules

Plain and short. If something isn't here, it follows the Glitter Bomb Books page.

Always

  • White page, brand kit colours exactly: wine, habanero orange, pink, pink light, lilac, zest, sky. Cream only as an accent.
  • The button shows on the first screen of the sales page, on every screen size.
  • Every section has one job. The page offers one choice.
  • The About section is word for word from Glitter Bomb Books.
  • Testimonials are permitted. (Left off the checkout for now.)
  • Check the phone version first, then the computer.
  • Sections sit close. Two cream bands never stack two sets of space.

Never

  • A menu bar, a hamburger menu or a menu row in the footer.
  • A gradient, except the gold foil on the covers.
  • Jess's photo as the share image.
  • Consent pending on a testimonial.
  • Scarcity words, fake urgency or clever, abstract lines.
  • Em dashes, anywhere.
  • A photo that isn't on the GBB or JHM pages.
  • A price in the sales page hero.

Section 6

The words

Written to Leanne's taster template, from the book only. Clear beats clever, every time.

Talk to you

  • The reader is always you.
  • Her own client is named: your dream client, your listener, your reader.
  • A true story about someone else can stay as she.

The lines that stay the same

  • Eyebrow: The Tiny Book with Big Magic by Jess Hughes
  • Read in under 30 minutes.
  • Checkout eyebrow: From #1 WSJ Bestselling Author, Jessica Hughes

The buttons

  • Sales hero: Read the Book Now
  • Checkout: Get my tiny book
  • Confirmation: Download my tiny book
  • The door: Join Tiny Book In A Day Immersion

The questions, in order

  • What is a Tiny Book?
  • Why is a Tiny Book more valuable than a big book?
  • What exactly am I buying?
  • How long does it take to read?
  • I LOVE this, I want more!
  • Can I get a refund?

Bullets

  • Outcomes, never questions.
  • A bold lead, then a so clause.
  • Six on the checkout, three on the sales page.

The add-ons

  • Audiobook $7, workbook $27, masterclass $222, Secret Podcast $47.
  • The Glitter Box $59, a $303 value, Save 80%.

Section 7

Make the next book's funnel

One step at a time, in order. Tick each one when it's done. Your ticks save on this device.

  1. Get the book ready first

    1. The tiny book is rewritten and Jess has said yes to it.
    2. You have its cover (Set C, The Big Word) and its pocket book PDF.

You're done when the manuscript and the cover are final.

  2. Copy the build folder

    1. In Jess-git, copy builds/2026-10-10-tiny-book-standard to a new folder with the date and the book's name.
    2. Rename cold-to-sold-copy.json to the new book's name.

You're done when the new folder opens and has every file.

  3. Write the words

    1. Fill the copy file, section by section, from the book only. Use Leanne's taster template.
    2. Talk to you. Never she, her or the woman about the reader.
    3. Keep the FAQ's first two questions and the I LOVE this question.

You're done when Jess has approved the words.

  4. Make the pictures

    1. Run make_fan.py with the new book's pages: cover, title page, contents, a doodle, a text page.
    2. Run make_og.py for the share image.

You're done when the fan and the share image look right on wine.

  5. Build and look

    1. Run python3 build.py.
    2. Open all three pages. Check them on a computer and on your phone.
    3. Scroll slowly: the cards stack, the footer uncovers Oh hey!, the buttons throw glitter.

You're done when every page looks like Cold to Sold, with the new book's words.

  6. Check the hero at every size

    1. Screenshot the sales hero at 1280, 1440, 1536 and 1920 wide, and on a phone.
    2. The button must show on the first screen every time.

You're done when the button is above the fold at every size.

  7. Put it on the review site

    1. Run python3 publish.py, then commit and push the review repo.
    2. Vercel puts it live in about a minute.

You're done when the link opens for the team.

  8. Add it to the dashboard

    1. Add a card in the Glitter Bomb Library and log it with log.py.
    2. Send the link to Jess.

You're done when Jess has the link and the card says For approval.
